The Employment & Benefits group at Mayer Brown has lawyers in key business centres across UK/Europe, the Americas and Asia.

 

The Employment team in London consists of 2 Partners, 1 Counsel and 4 Associates (plus trainees/paralegals).  (This excludes our Pension and Benefits team.)

 

The team has been consistently ranked as one of the leading teams in the UK and advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters (roughly 50/50 split), primarily for employers, including: 

  • Tribunal and High Court litigation (including team moves and covenant breach cases)
  • Day to day advice/counselling
  • Corporate transactions
  • Recruitment and termination of executives
  • International projects
  • Employment investigations
  • Restructuring programmes
  • Business transfers and outsourcings

Qualifications

A qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 2-3 years post qualification experience.

  • Hardworking and committed to developing the employment team within Mayer Brown both nationally and internationally
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of handling and resolving technical legal issues
  • Ability to represent the firm at business development events;
  • Ability to manage matters to agreed standards and within budget;
  • Work efficiently as a team member
